Vincent Shorter

Vince is the Senior Vice President/Chief Information Officer – Medical Segment for Cardinal Health. He leads a global IT strategy team that focuses on innovative business solutions for supply chain, manufacturing and quality.

Vincent has held global positions in various roles to include infrastructure, vendor management, finance, delivery, and project management. In these roles he helped to deliver business results in sales, marketing, research and development, and supply chain. Industries include pharmaceutical, medical devices, and agriculture.

Vince is also a retired U. S. Army Lieutenant Colonel. During his 20-year career in the U.S. Army, he led various teams in multiple geographical locations within the continental United States, Honduras, and Kuwait.

Vince is passionate about leadership and STEM. He often speaks at various events inspiring professionals and students. This included speaking to over 15,000 at the National Robotics Competition. He has served on the National Board of Directors for the Black Data Processing Associates (BDPA). He founded the Corporate Advisory Board for the Saint Louis Chapter of BDPA. While in St. Louis, he was the Executive Sponsor that led the Saint Louis chapter of BDPA students to first place in the National High School Computer Coding Competition.

He also served on the board of directors for the Youth Learning Center (YLC) – A STEM oriented after school program. His board membership also led to YLC becoming a charter school – Biome.

For several years Vincent was an adjunct professor at Lindenwood University where he taught, Management Information Systems, Networking, and Supply Chain Systems.

Vince earned his Bachelor of Science in Business from California State University and a dual Masters in Business Management and Information Technology Management from Webster University. He received a Chief Information Officer (CIO) Certification from the National Defense University, Washington D.C. and an Executive Certification in Supply Chain Management from Washington University. He is a recent graduate of the Information Technology Senior Management Forum’s Executive Academy.

Vince is a lifetime member of the Military Officers Association (MOAA), the BDPA, and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
Throughout his career he has focused on being a results-oriented leader that empowers his teams.
